Dagmar Waberski
Dagmar Waberski is professor for reproductive medicine at University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Germany since 2001. She is leading the pig reproduction group in the Unit for Reproductive Medicine of Clinics and supervises graduate students in habilitation, PhD, doctoral and master programs. She received her doctoral degree in the field of boar semen preservation in 1988 and the habilitation in reproductive medicine and biotechnology in 1997. Her main research interest is spermatology and semen preservation, and the interaction of semen components with the female reproductive tract. Beside this, she leads an accredited spermatology laboratory at the university. In 1999, she was awarded with the Humboldt Fellowship (Feodor Lynen) to join the group of Prof. R.G: Saacke at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, for one year. In 1997 and 2014, she was a visitor professor at Cornell University Ithaca, N.Y., USA (Prof. Susan S. Suarez). In 2001, she was awarded as founding diplomate of the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR) and since then supervises ECAR residencies.
